- Chocolate Chip Pie
-
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cup nuts (pecans are best)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs,slightly beaten
- 1 12/ sticks butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 2 unbaked pie shells (deep dish)
-
- Preheat oven to 350. Melt butter. Mix sugar and flour; pour melted
- butter into sugar and flour mixture and beat. Add eggs to mixture, make
- sure that the butter mixture isn't too hot (you don't want to fry your
- eggs). Stir in vanilla, nuts and chocolate chips. Pour mixture into both
- pie shells. Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes. Pies are done when a toothpick
- stuck in the middle comes out clean. (The original recipe called for the
- pies to be baked for 30 minutes, but it usually takes my oven longer.) If
- you don't like a lot of chocolate chips, it works to add more pecans.
